Alcatel’s latest slider is adding a hint of style and utility to what would be a relatively ho hum mobile otherwise, as the chrome and faux leather motif aren’t half bad additions to catch a few eyes. Alcatel Mobile Phones has launched a new neat and elegant slider handset, the smokey brown OT-C825, with a chrome casing and leather effect frontage. The OT-C825 is a mid-range music phone, which packs a 1.3 MP camera that can take both photos and video, and a music player with dedicated music keys.

A star product in Alcatel’s 2007 collection, the smokey brown OT-C825 is packed full of features including a built in MP3 player, 1.3 Megapixel camera, video recording and webcam function.

The OT-C825’s MP3 player has dedicated music control keys allowing users to play, pause and scroll forward and back through tracks at the touch of a button. The handset comes with a 128MB SD card allowing users to download up to 50 of their favourite tracks. Music storage capacity is expandable up to 800 music tracks using a 2GB card and can be enjoyed through the stereo headphones supplied with the phone

Additionally, you’ll find video recording capability, Bluetooth, and moreover, it should last you right around six hours if you’re on the horn incessantly. Interestingly, the device can also be attached to a PC and turned into a webcam for video chats, and while there’s no word yet of a US release, it will reportedly hit the European market sometime this summer.
