LG’s Chocolate range of handsets has achieved great success in both Asian markets and through its introduction to the US with Verizon Wireless. LG recently announced a major update to their famous Chocolate phone lineup featuring a serious face-lift and a heavy improvement of the available equipment. The new LG KE800 also takes care of some the drawbacks the original LG Chocolate in terms of functionality.
The new LG KE800 Chocolate has a very similar design to its predecessor, though now features a gold or silver band just below the screen, adding the feeling of a somewhat premium handset. More than just advanced specifications allow it leave the predecessor behind. The phone is equipped with a 2MP camera, FM-tuner, expansion connector for microSD, and 128 MB of internal memory.

The LG Chocolate Platinum is expected to follow up the success of its predecessor, which has almost 3 millions sold worldwide. In Europe LG would offer KE800 Platinum only in black and silver color combination, while in Korea the CDMA version of the KE800 would be offered in black with gold trimming.
