Another high-end camera phone from Samsung seems to be under way, unofficial information has leaked. The Samsung G800 slider has a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with 3x optical zoom and is likely the successor of Samsung G600, which was recently announced.
Despite the G800 being a slider, the camera sits on the back of the phone complete with a sliding lens cover and faux-leather finish. One of the most disappointing aspects of the G600 was its lack of 3G or HSDPA but we still can’t confirm whether the G800 will rock up with these connection speeds. It also looks like you’re going to have to wait until early next year to get your hands on this sweet snapper.
The Samsung G800 is ready for mobile television by supporting HSDPA connectivity next to the standard GPRS and EDGE. Mobile Television involves bringing TV services to the mobile phones. It combines the services of a mobile phone with television content and represents a logical step both for consumers and operators and content providers. The Samsung G800 is ready to become Samsung’s all-round multimedia player.
